SUMO STAR (10) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 6f at Newcastle after being in contention all the way. Drawn for a good trail just off the pace. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. NAVY BLOOD (1) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 2.5 lengths over 6f at Newcastle as favourite. That continued the solid form this campaign, with two wins from six runs. Sure to go well again. NOVEMBER FALLS (11) ran fourth at her latest appearance over 6½f at Warwick Farm, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner. Big run is likely. PUTT FOR DOUGH (4) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when seventh over 7½f at Hawkesbury, beaten 2.2.5 lengths. Expect a better run this time.
