RICHED (2) improved last time out, finishing 0.7 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 6f at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to find winning ways. MELMAC (4) showed good early pace over 5½f at this track last time and kept going to score by 1.5 lengths. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. Likely improver with strong prospects. LUCKY BLUE (3) returned from a lay-off a month ago when he was in the firing line on the corner before being beaten 5.5 lengths into ninth over 5¼f at Balaklava. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. DUBAI NIGHTS (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing 11th at Mt Gambier over 6f. Finds a more suitable contest and can make amends.
