HOT BETTY (3) started at 11/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 12 lengths at this track (Dirt) over 6f. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player. READY TO GIG (2) finds it hard to win with just one success from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 6f at this track, beaten 9 lengths. Has the ability to take care of this field. CONQUEST SECRET (1) raced below her best last time when ninth over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 13 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is worth another chance. SELSAE (5) resumes. Didn't make an impact at her only run last prep on August 11 finishing seventh and beaten 8 lengths over 1m at Santa Rosa (Turf). Change of jockey to Aburto Luis Manuel Jimenez who has a strong record when aboard with a win and three placings from four rides. Worth including in calculations.
