MAGNALEE (1) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.1 lengths of the winner in second last start over 5f at this track. Good record at this journey with two wins and eight minor placings from 12 starts and is a key runner. SHELL BELL (2) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third when resuming last start over 5f at Ascot. Has the speed to overcome a wide draw. Enjoys a drop in grade so she is a major player. NORMA STARS (13) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when seventh in a 6f contest at Pinjarra eight days ago. Has the ability to take care of this field. RUN PATTIE RUN (10) resumes after a break of three months. Hoping for a repeat of her debut win over 5½f at Bunbury to kick off last prep. Solid top-three hope.
