Race Tip

STIRRUP (13) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 2 lengths over 6f at Balnarring. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. SILVAGNI (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Alexandra, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. FROSE (7) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 6f at Dunkeld, finishing fourth and beaten 1.4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Tackling a more suitable race so she is a major player. ALBANIAN THUNDER (8) has not appeared since she finished 13th over 5½f at Wangaratta on August 24. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
