SETTAT (2) was prominent from the outset and fought on for second last start over 1m at Cranbourne, making it two minor placings in a row. Backmarker who keeps coming. Nicely placed to take this out. BOB THE HORSE (1) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley, beaten only 1.3 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. SMOKIN' GIANT (8) last appeared when he finished seventh over 1m2 1/4f at Wodonga on September 17. Among the better hopes. SHOELESS (5) raced below his best last time when sixth over 1m at Cranbourne, beaten 5 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
