CRUSHEEN LASS (8) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1m3/4f at Muswellbrook, scoring by 0.7 lengths. Looks well placed and she looks certain to measure up again. WILL TO EXCEL (2) was never in contention when 99 lengths from the winner in 13th over 2m7f at Warrnambool last start, a less impressive effort than his ninth at Moonee Valley the run before. Has a good record at this course and distance, including two wins. Finds a nice race and can take this out. SHADOW SHOT (7) caught the eye last start over 1m at Dubbo, coming from the tail and running on strongly to score by 0.6 lengths. Brings the right form to this race so a top-three finish is on the cards. AVALICIOUS (5) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 0.6 lengths away in second over 1m at Dubbo. Strong top-three prospect.
