HOLDING PATTERN (5) finished fifth over 6½f at Churchill Downs (Dirt) at his most recent appearance on June 21. Sure to make his presence felt. PEACE DOG (3) is returning from a lay-off of 12 weeks. Finished fifth at this track (Dirt) over 6f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Ingrid Mason. A solid return is anticipated. COLONEL BARTON (9) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 6 lengths away in seventh over 6f at Sam Houston Park. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. YOU VEE CEE (2) is back at the races for the first time since September 25. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at this track. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Has to be respected.
