MADAM INSTRIFE (10) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.6 lengths of the winner in third last start over 6¼f at Canterbury on debut. Can measure up again. LADY ICHIKAWA (9) settled well back last time then wound up strongly in the straight to finish third over this journey at this track. Will drift back but is expected to be in the finish again. HELLAINE (7) is back after a break of eight months. At the last run before the layoff she finished fifth over 6f at Randwick. Commenced last prep with a minor placing at Canterbury over 5½f. Tuned up with a sixth in a recent trial at Randwick. Leading player on best figures - bold showing expected. SPANISH FOX (3) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6½f at Wyong, beaten a neck. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish.
