OUR UPTOWN GIRL (8) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 7½f at this track. Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Kembla Grange over 6f. Should be forward enough following two recent trials. Has ability and can get off the mark. JARED (4) is progressing well, last time out finishing second over 6¾f at Wyong after being prominent at the bend. Ideally placed to break the ice. MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (7) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6f at Kembla Grange. Among the chances. TAIPAN LEGEND (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Hawkesbury but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 8 lengths over 1m at Gosford. Finds a nice race and can atone.
