RIVER ROGUE (8) turned in a fair effort at Coonamble over 1m at his last run five-and-a-half months ago, finishing fourth and beaten 3 lengths. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. GRAND OYSTER (4) improved last start to finish third over 5½f at Forbes. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. SEE YOU THEN (3) registered her first win last start over 5f at Tamworth, getting home by a nose. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders.
