WANAVAN (8) could only manage fourth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at Tamworth, beaten only 0.6 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. IT'S A TATA (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 5f at Tamworth, finishing sixth and beaten 3 lengths. Big chance based on that effort. AVONLEE (9) settled in a rearwards position and never came on when resuming last start, finishing ninth and beaten 11 lengths over 5f at Muswellbrook. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. MERE MORTAL (13) hit the frame two starts ago at Wellington but ran below par last time when ninth and beaten 8 lengths over 5½f at Dubbo. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
