MERCURY FLYER (4) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by a head over 1m2 1/2f at Gawler. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. WE'VE GOTTA DEEL (6) hit the frame two starts ago at Balaklava but ran below par last time when ninth and beaten 7 lengths over 1m2 1/4f at Strathalbyn. The engagement of Polly Brewster is noteworthy. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. JOHNNY CIGAR (3) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1m2 1/4f at Penola after being in contention on the corner. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. HASTA LA AMNESTY (2) broke his maiden last start over 1m2 1/4f at Penola, scoring by 2 lengths. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
