ENSIGN PARKER (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 5/11/2024, finishing eighth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 5f at this track. Has switched to the Todd Howlett yard. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. ZAHDI (4) ran below expectations last time at Beaumont (Newcastle), finishing sixth and beaten 10 lengths starting at 6/1. Has the ability to figure prominently. HELL OF A LAD (7) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 6½f contest at Scone by 1.75 lengths. Should be involved in the finish. NEEDING ATTENTION (10) had a bit on her rivals last time out, scoring an impressive 2 lengths maiden win over 6f at Dubbo. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Ellen Hennessy was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but she is capable of another big run.
