Comes here with definite claims. SOARING PHOENIX (3) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.1 lengths of the winner in third last start over 6f at Moree when resuming after a break. Can measure up. FIORSUM FRED (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6¼f at Canterbury, beaten 8 lengths into eighth. Has the talent to find the winners' list. SMART JAZZ (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6¼f at Taree, beaten 2.25 lengths. Looks to be in the right race so another bold effort is on the cards.
