UMABETT (6) raced once in the maiden campaign when sixth in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick over 5f back on September 30. Will be better for that run. Leading contender. MY MATE COBBER (12) worked home well to grab third at his latest appearance at Newcastle over 4½f. Comes down a level this time. Well placed so expecting a strong run. SAPPHIRE KISS (3) was prominent until they straightened last time but weakened to finish fourth over 6f at Wyong. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her. PHAZED (5) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when seventh in a 6½f contest at Hawkesbury two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has the talent to figure prominently.
