SMART JAZZ (3) fought on for third last start over 7f at Tamworth, making it two minor placings in a row. Tackling a more suitable race so he is one of the main contenders. M'LADY'S LUCK (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Dubbo, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. GUMAGAWAX (2) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 6 lengths away in ninth over 1m at Dubbo. No surprise to see him in contention.
