EVER WAS (2) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 1m1 1/2f at Newcastle, finishing third and beaten half a length. Finds an easier assignment and can take the next step and salute. OMIANS (8) did a good job last time, finishing in the money when second over 1m1/2f at Walcha. Has an outside gate but has to be respected. YACHTIE (12) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 1m at Wyong. Will push forward and is among the chances. GALLIC FOX (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2f at Canberra, beaten 6 lengths into fifth. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
