SCOPICS (5) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when 14th, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 6f at Randwick. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is right in contention. AIMPOINT (4) was below his best last time, finishing 15th and beaten 16 lengths over 7½f at Rosehill. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field. LOCKDOWN GAMBLE (2) was far from disgraced to finish 1.75 lengths away in third last start over 7f at Newcastle. That followed a when resuming win at Cowra. Taking on a better field but he is worth serious consideration. MUSICAL AFFAIR (12) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 0.7 lengths over 7f at Bathurst. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
