CANDY CRUSHEM (1) gave the leaders a start last start and made little impact in the straight when seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths, over this journey at Thistledown (Dirt). This is a nice drop in grade so he will be hard to beat. DEJOHN (4) was well fancied last time and did a good job to finish second over 1m at this track (Dirt) at the third run of the prep. Cherry-ripe now so a big run is likely. MIDNIGHT ALIBI (2) was never really a threat when resuming last start over 6f at this track (Dirt), finishing 12 lengths from the winner in seventh. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Should be involved in the finish. RUNNINGFORHOME (3) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 10 lengths into sixth. No surprise to see him in the frame.
