GROUP EIGHTEEN (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6½f at Charles Town, beaten 7 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is likely to play a big role. AFJAN (11) built on a nice second two starts back at Mahoning Valley (Dirt) with a win as public elect over 1m at Thistledown (Dirt) two months ago, getting home by 3 lengths. Finds the right race this time and can salute again. MACEDONIAN RULER (5) finished out of the money two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 8 lengths when fourth over 6f at this track four weeks ago. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to turn the recent form around. RIP THORN (6) lines up on the back of a 5.5 lengths fifth over 1m at this track. Has a sound record here with three wins from six starts. Solid top-three hope.
