Group 2 placegetter GRAY MAGICIAN (4) returned from a lay-off four weeks ago when he was in the firing line on the corner before being beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth over 1m at this track. Enjoys a drop in grade so he can play a big role. DEPLANE (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m1/2f at Charles Town, beaten 13 lengths into fifth. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. AMICUS BRIEF (1) did a great job to score by a nose over this course and distance last start which was an improvement on the when resuming run.
