FINE VINTAGE (2) turned in a modest performance when eighth last start over 6¼f at Canterbury, beaten 11 lengths after being prominent at the corner. That followed a good when resuming win at Albury. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. KING GUTHO (1) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish second, beaten 4 lengths, over 5f at Queanbeyan. Record at this journey is strong with four wins from 13 runs and should be in the finish. MR ROCK IT (3) is overdue for a win with four placings from four appearances this campaign, the latest effort a second over 6¼f at Newcastle. One of the main contenders. GORUSH LIGHTNING (4) is back from a lay-off of nine weeks. Closed last prep with a tenth, beaten 8 lengths, over 6f at Nowra. Solid top-three hope.
