OMANYALA (3) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.8 lengths of the winner in second last start over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Best figures should see him run well. LOVEY (9) registered her first win last start over 7f at Pakenham, getting home by a nose. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Capable of taking the next step. COLMAR (1) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Morphettville two starts back then scored by 1.5 lengths last time out over 6f at Murray Bridge. Nicely placed to take this out. CAVITY BAY (7) booted up from a low draw to lead last start and went on to score by a neck at Swan Hill over 6½f. Tougher company here but must be respected.
