JAYKAYANN (4) ran below expectations last time at Sandown-Lakeside, finishing fifth and beaten 0.7 lengths starting at 3/1. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to take this out. THE GENIUS (7) is going better than form suggests, last time finishing a 6 length fourth over 1m4 1/2f at Flemington. Looks well placed here and expected to go close on best form. HOOPS (6) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at Swan Hill over 1m4f, beaten 1.5 lengths. Will find this much tougher but should be competitive. LAKE'S FOLLY (1) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by 1.75 lengths over 1m3 1/4f at Morphettville Parks last time out. Can figure in the finish.
