KASTUN STAR (6) has been kept fresh since finishing fourth over 7½f at this track. Kept up to the mark with a recent Flemington trial win. Better than last start suggests and looks hard to beat. BATTAGLIA (2) showed good early speed from the inside draw last start before finishing third over 1m1/4f at Moe. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. HIDE YOUR ASSETS (3) had been in sparkling form winning two races on end but missed the frame most recently when eighth over 7f29yards at Sale. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be picking them up late. WILLIAMSTOWN (1) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Moonee Valley, beaten 4 lengths into seventh. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
