CAPITALEX (2) filled a minor placing when fresh from a lay-off two starts ago. Could not back that up last time when 8 lengths away in eighth over 5½f at Kilmore. Capable of a return to form. BUADES (1) is back after a break of four months. At the last run before the layoff he finished eighth over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside. Bold showing expected. VADERLEE (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when fourth over 6½f at Echuca three-and-a-half weeks ago. Nicely placed to get the prize. ASMITA (7) finished third last time over 5f at Yarra Valley when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 4.5 lengths. Ready to go a couple better.
