RUADA (5) showed early speed from an outside draw last time and led for much of the way before fading to finish sixth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 1m2 1/4f at Mornington. Expected to measure up again. TEN DOWNING STREET (2) was a narrow winner by 0.8 lengths at Bairnsdale in a then second at Woolamai last time. Well placed here with the lighter weight. Will find this assignment a little tougher but is among the leading chances. LANDGRAVE (7) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish sixth over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool. Must be included. KALENDS (3) finished 19 lengths back in 13th over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool last time out after a gutsy win two runs back. Should camp just off the leaders. Can feature in the finish.
