BOOTS MALONE (9) has been in the market at his last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest eighth in Listed grade at this track (Dirt) over 1m1/2f. Can improve and is a leading player on best figures. LIVE A LITTLE (1) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 9 lengths when fourth over 5½f at Thistledown seven weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. RONNIS SECOND WIND (5) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. PROFESSOR NICK (2) was an effortless maiden winner last time out over 5½f at this track (Dirt), scoring by 3 lengths. Re-unites with Mauro Cedillo who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
