NICHOLAS JAMES (5) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a fifth at this track (Dirt) two starts back then got the job done by half a length last time out over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. MONTAUK COVE (6) was in a different class last time, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for a 4 length win at this track (Dirt) over 6f. Distance specialist with nine wins and 11 minor placings from 29 runs and deserves respect.
