ROC DE RUSSIAN (2) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 0.6 lengths over 6½f at this track. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. BLUE VELVET (7) was well in commission last start over 1m3/4f at Grafton when fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Well-placed to make amends. EXCITE CHOO (5) broke through for his maiden win over 6f at this track last time, scoring comfortably. Has a wide gate to overcome but he cannot be underestimated. CHILLI PALMER (16) comes here following a win over 6½f at this track a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by a head. Ticks all the right boxes.
