TIZLIGHTNING (4) scored by half a length when resuming last start at Los Alamitos (Dirt) over 5f after he was in contention on the corner. Boasts excellent form at this trip with six wins from eight starts. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Sure to be in the finish. CODE DUELLO (5) missed the frame on turf over 5f at Del Mar in a then filled a minor placing last start on the same surface at Santa Anita, beaten 4 lengths over the 1m journey. Has a terrific record here with three wins and one minor placings from four starts. Should be in the finish. PATRON D'ORO (2) showed good pace over 5½f at Santa Anita (Dirt) last time and dug deep to score by 0.3 lengths. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is sure to be right there at the finish. KINGDOM HEART (3) comes here off a break of five-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Turf Paradise. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
