GEEGEES GEMSTONE (7) could only manage seventh when returning from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Hobart, beaten 1.5 lengths. Form here strong boasting five wins from seven starts. Well placed and should be in the finish. THE INEVITABLE (1) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 14 finishing fourth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 7f in the LR Glasshouse Hcp at Sunshine Coast. Should be hard to stop. TSUNAMI SAM (9) missed the placings when resuming recently but was not too far from the winner when fifth over 5½f at Hobart. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. THESPIAN WATERS (10) was too good when resuming in an easier race over 5½f at Hobart last start, scoring by half a length. Will be better for that latest run and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
