VERY SEWREEL (2) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish third, beaten 0.9 lengths, over 1m2 1/2f in the LR Strutt Stakes at Hobart. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. WINGS OF SONG (1) was a narrow winner last time over 1m2 1/2f in the LR Strutt Stakes at Hobart with this rider Jye Mcneil aboard. Nice weight drop so she is expected to measure up again. GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS (3) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1m2 1/2f in the LR Strutt Stakes at Hobart. Meets a stronger field but she is good enough to take this out. ALA MOANA (5) was beaten 1.1 lengths into fourth in a 1m2 1/2f contest at Sandown-Lakeside last time out. Better than recent efforts suggest.
