Was in the placings when when resuming from a lay-off last campaign at Donald over 6f. Makes plenty of appeal in the new surrounds. EVER GIVEN (8) is a 12-start maiden who finished second over 5f185yards at Wangaratta last time out. Ideally placed to shed the maiden tag. LODDON RIVER (9) showed early speed from a good draw last time and led into the straight but was swamped late, finishing 12th and beaten 14 lengths over 7f at Terang. Expected to feature. CITY ESCAPE (1) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of five months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 7f at Casterton. Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Ballarat over 5f. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
