AEMELIUS (9) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Newcastle over 6f, beaten 3 lengths. Big chance with race experience now on board. GREAT WHITE SHARK (2) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Hawkesbury, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Ideally placed and is sure to open his account. DARK STRATUM (10) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 2.5 lengths when fifth over 6¾f at Newcastle two-and-a-half weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SLEUTH (11) missed the placings on debut two starts back then ran a better race when he worked home well and finished 2.2.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5½f at Gosford. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways.
