BRAVE EMMA (4) again failed to feature last start, finishing sixth and beaten 2.25 lengths over 5½f at Ararat. Strong chance to open her account. PORTUGUESE PARROT (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 5f at Balnarring, beaten only a neck. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. WINDY WHEELS (2) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6½f at Yea. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. FIRST VENTURE (9) was never in contention last time over 5½f at Seymour when he finished sixth, beaten 10 lengths. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
