CRADLE OF JAZZ (10) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 7f at Horsham when third, beaten 2 lengths. Likely improver so she will prove tough to beat. KILLING EVE (11) finished second, beaten a head, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track. Nicely placed to go one better. SOUTH POLE (2) hit the frame two starts ago at Kyneton but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 1m at Wangaratta. Likely improver with strong prospects. POEMS (6) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 8 lengths from the winner in seventh over 5f at Terang. Solid top-three chance on her best figures.
