MAXIMUM VORTEX (6) scored last start at this track over this distance after he was prominent at the corner. Has a very good record over this journey with two wins from three starts. Should be prominent despite the awkward gate. Best figures should see him run well. BOW (10) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw last time before finding the line strongly to score by 0.8 lengths over 5½f at this track. Will drift back but should be in the finish again. BONCASSIE (4) started this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when eighth over 6f at Eagle Farm, beaten 6 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. ZOUKINA (7) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Ballina, beaten 7 lengths into eighth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
