CHINNY BOOM (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 6½f at this track. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. BLACK ON BEAUTY (9) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten half a length, over 6f at Eagle Farm. Will take catching. MABEL (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 1.4 lengths, over 5½f at Rosehill after she got a long way back. Should be peaking now and is sure to be about the mark. RELIABLE RUBY (5) produced a better run last start, beaten 1.4 lengths into fourth over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
