CARRANA ANNE (3) was comfortably accounted for when eighth last start over 5f at Parkes, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Orange. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. HAVE MERCY (2) went forward from the low draw last time before fading to finish 11th over 5f at Tamworth. Sure to be prominent from the outset. VENATIC (4) is back after a break of six-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at Wellington. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from three tries. Definite top-three chance. RHYTHMIC SONG (1) won over 5f at Dubbo at his most recent appearance on June 10 2022. Has to be respected.
