AUSSIE PHAROAH (2) ran below expectations last time after being in contention on the corner at Parkes, finishing tenth and beaten 6 lengths starting at 7/2. Has the class to take care of this field. RUBILAND (5) turned in an encouraging run when resuming, settling well back then winding up nicely to finish fourth over 7f at Orange. Will drift back but will be getting home hard. EDITH'S JOY (12) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Parkes, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player. SEARCHLIGHT (6) produced another moderate effort last start when 3.5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6f at Cowra. No surprise to see him in contention.
