LA DETTE (2) travelled in a rearwards position then made a little ground and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6f at Bunbury two weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is among the leading chances. GEORGE GENTLY (9) did little and finished 20 lengths from the winner in 12th over 1m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Northam the run before. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MASTER ALEX (6) settled well back last start and never threatened when 8 lengths from the winner in 11th over 6f at this track. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. MOMBASA (1) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into sixth over 6f at this track. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
