FIRE THE GUARD (1) is a 14-start maiden who has been in the money eight times. Could only manage fourth at the latest appearance over 6f at Bunbury. Has been in the frame at all three runs over this trip. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be tough to stop. DIXIE PRINCESS (4) has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 1.3 lengths into second over 5f123yards at this track when she was in the firing line all the way. Nicely placed to take this out. GOLD LIGHTNING (8) is a four-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at her latest appearance over 6f at this track. Finds the right race and is worth consideration. SANSANEE (6) raced below her best last time when sixth over 5½f at Northam, beaten 8 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
