HILLSIDE HORACE (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 27 finishing seventh and beaten 5 lengths over 7f at this track. Looks a winning chance. GRINT (2) is returning from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Finished fifth at Morphettville over 5¼f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer J Martin. Ran fourth in a trial at Geraldton over 5½f recently. Solid chance when resuming for the new barn. GOLD LIGHTNING (9) returns after three-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fifth over 6¼f at Geelong. Nicely placed and can get off the mark. DIXIE PRINCESS (7) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 3 lengths, over 6f at this track. Ready to go a couple better.
