GALLANT PRINCE (3) went forward when resuming last start over 7f at Pakenham and held on well for second, beaten a nose. Drawn to stalk the leaders. In a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. AKICITA (6) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 6½f at Bendigo. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and appears suited by the longer journey. Expected to measure up. DANE ON TOUR (13) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 5 lengths back in fifth over 7½f at Caulfield Heath. Will give backers a sight. PORTER (1) progressed nicely last time out to score by 2.25 lengths over 7f at Seymour. Likely to be there at the finish again.
