COTTON TREE (1) is back from a lay-off of six months. Closed last prep with a second, beaten a long neck, over 1m2f at Flemington. A bold showing is expected. THE WESTERN FRONT (3) was a most impressive maiden winner over 7f147yards at this track last time out, scoring by 3 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Daniel Stackhouse who was on board last start. No reason he cannot get the job done again. MORRISSETTE (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.75 lengths over 1m at Caulfield Heath when she worked home well. Finds a suitable assignment and can take the next step and salute. QUEEN BEIRA (9) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f147yards at this track, beaten just half a length. Well placed and can figure in the finish again.
