GRANDEUR ROSE (9) finished off last campaign in strong form including a near miss over 6f at Kilcoy at the last run before a three-and-a-half months break. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Likely to feature. I AM VOODOO (1) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 5¼f at Gold Coast Poly, beaten only a head after being in contention on the turn. Has the ability to produce another positive result. VIKING VALOUR (7) hit the frame two starts ago at Sunshine Coast but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 4 lengths over 5½f at Ipswich. Ideally placed and is sure to play a major role. SERIGALA (4) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on June 22 finishing sixth and beaten 5.5 lengths over 6f at Gold Coast Poly. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
