CLAUDIUS (16) sped across from a poor gate to lead last time over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly but dropped out of it in the run home. Will find this a little easier than last time. Among the leading chances in this company. BORN TO BE ALIVE (2) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 1.75 lengths after being in contention on the turn over 1m at this track. Nicely placed to keep the ball rolling. WHISTLIN' RULER (17) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 6¾f at Warwick. Will be putting in the big strides late. ROMAN HEIR (6) has not won for a long while. Last raced on May 9 when beaten 4 lengths into sixth at Warwick over 6¾f. Good enough on his day and can fill a top-three spot.
