THUNDERHEAVYRAIN (5) turned in a fine effort to score by 0.8 lengths at this track and distance last start in a much improved run. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MOUNTAIN SOUND (9) had a bit on her rivals last time with an impressive 4.5 lengths win over 6½f at this track. Is in hot form with three wins from as many appearances this prep. Best form puts her right in this. EMERALD LAKE (2) showed little early speed and was always well back last start when fifth, beaten 7 lengths, over this journey at Woodbine. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. Rates well on recent form and can sneak into the finish again.
